♡ Cheers! Happy Valentine’s Mansfield style ♡

Why not celebrate Valentines with a bubbly drink dedicated to our favourite bombshell? Here’s how you make it!

♡ Jayne Mansfield ♡

Light rum 2.5 cl
Strawberry Liqueur 2.5 cl
Champagne 10.0 cl
Syrup 0.5 cl
4 strawberries

1 Champagne glass
1 Cocktail shaker

Muddle strawberries in a shaker. Add the rum, liqueur and syrup. Shake. Strain into glass. Top up with champagne. Stir gently.

If you want you can make a nice edge on the glass:

pour sugar and grenadine on a plate. Dip the champagne glass edge in grenadine and then in the sugar to create a red sugar ring around the glass edge. Hold the glass upside down for a while to dry.

Happy New Year!!

♡♡♡ Wishing all my readers a very Happy New Year!! ♡♡♡

Sophia Loren about that classic infamous photo

Jayne Mansfield, my rival with loads of front

The first big event I attended in Hollywood was a cocktail party at Romanoff’s, a famous Beverly Hills restaurant. Everyone was there. I was the phenomenon of the moment, the person everyone wanted to meet.

There was Gary Cooper — so handsome he left me breathless — and Barbara Stanwyck, smiling; and if I looked out of the window, I could see Fred Astaire chatting with Gene Kelly. Mamma mia!At that moment, Jayne Mansfield arrived.

The crowd parted to let her through as she headed straight for my table. She was swaying on her heels, perhaps not completely sober, and there was something grand and imperious about each step she took. She knew that everyone had their eyes on her; after all, how could anyone fail to gape at her low neckline? When she sat down next to me and started talking, it was like a volcano erupting. As she got more and more worked up, I suddenly found one of her breasts in my plate.I looked up at her, terrified. She barely noticed, and left soon afterwards.Someone had taken a picture of us together, and the image subsequently went around the world.I refused to autograph copies of it.

Hollywood’s enchanted kingdom had its coarse and grotesque side, and I didn’t want anything to do with it.

Jayne imitator in upcoming horror flick

Fetish Factory

The story centers on pin-up vixens vs. bloodthirsty zombies, and is set in post-apocalyptic Hollywood. Imagine a wickedly saucy by invitation-only stage show and posh private peeps in which your every fantasy can come true, fulfilled by the likes of luscious ladies imitating the sex goddesses of yore: Bettie Page, Jayne Mansfield, and Suzie Wong.

Along with classic burlesque strip-teases and curio acts – a ventriloquist, a magician, and a whip-dancer – you are in for the night of your life at the Fetish Factory. That is, until your life is at stake when the apocalypse strikes! Once mild-mannered men become bloodthirsty zombies and it’s up to the girls to defend themselves by any means – even if that means turning their bullet bras, garter belts and spike-heels into deadly weapons.

Jennifer Blanc as Jayne

Director Staci Layne’s mother is pin-up model Buni Bacon, who was friends with Bettie Page and Jayne Mansfield.
